For the ninth year in a row, Hutto ISD has received an “A” rating for “Superior Achievement” from the Texas Education Agency’s Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST). The rating system measures the quality of school district financial management and reporting systems.
The Hutto Independent School District leads all regional school districts this year, with nine schools earning the Purple Star Campus Designation, a shining example of the District’s commitment and support for military-connected students and their families.
The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) announced the 94 winners of the 2024 District of Distinction Award. Among the list of honorees was Hutto ISD. This marks the fifth time the district has received the recognition. Districts received the honor for providing a well-rounded education that advocates and integrates visual arts curriculum to inspire creativity and builds social emotional learning that connects learners to their community and beyond.
Hutto’s second high school is closer to becoming a reality after Trustees approved its schematic design following a months-long effort to define the campus’s academic offerings as well as Hutto ISD stakeholders’ expectations for a new facility that emphasizes student choice, collaboration and a strong sense of belonging.
The Hutto Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees, at its Aug. 6 board meeting, named Jeni Neatherlin as finalist for superintendent.
A familiar face in Hippo Nation has been named the new principal of Hutto ISD’s River Horse Academy and Hutto Virtual Academy for the upcoming school year. Ms. Holly Wells was appointed by the District’s Board of Trustees to lead the two academies which provide unique educational opportunities for Hutto ISD students.
