Assistant Principals

Liz De Luna is a dedicated educator and school leader with 19 years of experience, serving in roles ranging from classroom teacher and instructional coach to assistant principal and principal.

She currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Ray Elementary in Hutto ISD, where she is passionate about building strong relationships, supporting teachers, and creating a positive school culture where every student can thrive. Liz believes leadership is rooted in service, growth, and empowering others to reach their full potential. Above all, she is committed to learning, leading, and growing alongside the students, staff, and families she serves.  

Outside of education, she enjoys spending time with my family, traveling, playing pool, and making memories with the people she loves.

My name is Lance Hamilton and I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Ray Elementary School. I come with 22 years of experience in education and having served as an Assistant Principal for 7 years, I am excited to join this vibrant and dedicated school community.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I firmly believe that collaboration between educators, parents, and students is the key to achieving educational excellence, and I look forward to working closely with all of you to support our students' growth and success.

In my previous roles, I have had the privilege of working with diverse groups of students, teachers, and families, and I have always been passionate about promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and continuous improvement. My experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the educational landscape, and I am dedicated to leveraging this knowledge to contribute positively to our school community.

As we embark on this new academic year, I am eager to meet and collaborate with you to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students. I want to maintain open lines of communication and encourage you to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have.
